Cúpla Designs was founded by twin sisters Brodie and Mirren McFeely, originally from Donegal and now based in Belfast. In 2024, we decided to bring our individual skills together to create a brand that reflects both of us creatively and personally. The name Cúpla, meaning twin in Irish, felt like a natural fit.

Although our paths into design were different, they have always complemented one another. Brodie studied Textile Art, Design and Fashion with a specialism in knitwear and has always known she wanted to be a designer, with making, sewing, and garment construction at the core of her practice. Mirren studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Ulster University, and while she dabbled in sewing, her strengths have always been in visual thinking, having an eye for design, and shaping the overall creative direction.

Together, Cúpla allows us to merge knitwear, illustration, and graphic design into pieces that feel playful, personal, and distinctly ours. Brodie leads the making, sewing, and garment development, while Mirren focuses on graphics, illustration, and design direction. Between the two of us, we like to think we make one full designer, and we would not have it any other way.

Cúpla is a space for collaboration, experimentation, and growth. We are excited to keep pushing ourselves creatively and to continue building a brand that evolves alongside us.
